In the Osho <a href=\"http:\/\/www.brightonaum.co.uk\/\">Brighton AUM \u201cSocial Meditation\u201d<\/a> we worked with the full range of human emotions in an intense and exhausting way. Catharsis seems a central part of the AUM and I have my reservations about this notion, though I can imagine the AUM being really good for people who would like to get in contact with their feelings and work through personal issues physically.<\/p>\n<p>The AUM was inspired by the charismatic and <a href=\"http:\/\/youtube.com\/watch?v=6D7rWLzloOI\">sometimes hilarious<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Osho\">Osho<\/a>. Now deceased he was a controversial figure, and it\u2019s fair to say that what I experienced wasn\u2019t for the shy. The work was certainly engaging and I\u2019d recommend it to anyone who isn\u2019t afraid of physical contact or emotional intensity, and willing to take a sweaty look at themselves.<\/p>\n<p>The group is friendly and welcoming to newcomers and meets about once a month <a href=\"http:\/\/www.brightonaum.co.uk\/Dates.html\">in the Brighton and Hove area<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Osho Brighton Last weekend I attended an afternoon of dancing, crying, laughing, shouting and hugging.
