Addiction affects many people and is something trainers and coaches will come across which will have an impact on their work. This introductory day will explore some of the key issues though presentation, interactive exercises and discussion to better equip facilitators for working with this area and knowing when to refer.<\/p>\n

He is the Director of the Brunswick Clinic in Hove and the founder of a new Mindfulness based addiction treatment programme called Middleway Recovery. He has held senior positions in some of the leading UK addiction treatment centres, including as Director of Addiction Services at the Priory Hospital in London. Nick specialises in mindfulness based cognitive behavioural therapy and addiction treatment and is also a lecturer at Brighton University, with a particular interest in the neuroscience of addiction. He has been in personal recovery from addiction for 24 years.<\/p>\n Mark Walsh is a trainer and coach in long-term sobriety. He specialises in the \u201cembodied\u201d approach and his clients include Unilever, L\u2019Oreal, Virgin Atlantic, AXA, Shell, Sussex University and The House of Lords.\u00a0 He has also worked with peace and trauma projects in Israel\/Palestine, Afghanistan, Ukraine the slums of Brazil, East Africa and with the Sierra Leonian Army.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
