I sometimes get teased as “Holistical Mark” or called a hippy for practicing bodymind activities, however I recently thanked myself lucky for doing what I do in the UK after reading a piece on the persecution of Falun Gong chi kung in China. This form of energy work (though some might say religion), once massively popular has been outlawed and its “members now comprise 66% of all reported torture cases in China, and at least half of the labour camp population” (source – UN/US State department).
While the Tibetan situation is well known I had never heard of this group before. The lady on the left was a member who was tortured to death in custody.

Incidentally this blog post wont be read in China where I have never received a web hit from – which seems kind of strange considering I get them daily from the likes of Russia, Japan and India.
