First UK somatics get-together:
Brighton, Sunday 27th April. 12-6pm

Somatics is the study of the conscious, feeling, intentional body, and has applications in exercise, health, business and a range of other areas. More:

Confirmed for this UK somatics get-together so far are a bunch of interesting folks from across the British Isles with a wide variety of areas of somatics expertise to share:

The day will begin with lunch and discussion at Infinity Foods Cafe (veggie) then we’ll move to a matted area for practical work. Those sharing will lead short taster sessions from 2-6pm.

There will also be an aikido class in the evening (7-8.30) for those who do that, with Tom Helsby Sensei.

The cost will be to cover dojo rent – £10 per person . The point of the day is just to have fun, share ideas and start to form the basis of a somatics community in the UK.

While this event is not open to the general public, anyone who has teaches or has studied a body discipline in some depth is welcome: yoga instructors, dancers, martial artists, meditators, bodyworkers, etc.
