The Tragedy of The Western World – HR Video

When I grow up I want to be:

a space fighter-pilot
a criminal mastermind
an assassin
rich
a monk
a king fighting a hopeless battle against insurmountable odds with a small but trusty oddball companions at his side
a dolphin
James Bond
a mum

Or so said eight year old Mark. Now I was a messed-up kid sure, but I had some good dreams. Of course I never said I was going to be a business training provider that would be like being a teacher like my parents…however as a I look at the list again I see several that have almost come true 😉 Many of the core needs beneath the job descriptions certainly have – meaning (see Frankie’s post below), adventure, beauty, friendship – these are all part of day to day work life for me…and I don’t want to grow up anymore.

What the video below shows to me is the great tragedy of the Western world – while for most basic survival needs are taken care of – many deeper needs are not. My question for all readers is this – are you doing what you’ve always wanted to do? If not, do what Tyler did to yourself.
